About us

What we aim to achieve

LeadPoint complements, rather than replaces, other voluntary sector networks and partnerships. Our aim is to work alongside the wider VCSE system to support alignment and collaboration across Brighton and Hove.

Governance

LeadPoint operates through a shared Memorandum of Understanding which sets out how decisions are made, how information is shared and how responsibilities are managed across the partnership.

The collaborative is led by a Chair, supported by a Steering Group made up of the Chief Executives of each Lead Provider organisation. This governance structure ensures accountability, transparency and equality between all partners.

We will openly share meeting summaries and key decisions to ensure the wider voluntary and community sector can see how the collaborative works and how our shared commitments are being delivered.

Joined hands for teamwork

National context and learning from others

LeadPoint is part of a wider national movement where voluntary and community organisations work together through collaboratives that align with Integrated Care Systems. This approach is becoming increasingly important as local areas look for more joined up, prevention focused support for residents.

We draw on learning from other partnerships, including:

These examples show how locally rooted voluntary organisations can have greater impact when they act collectively. By sharing expertise, shaping system design and working together to direct investment towards communities who face the greatest barriers, these collaboratives are helping to strengthen prevention, improve outcomes and support more inclusive decision making.
